  40. Registration Instructions
  41. FOR ONE PLUG-IN AND FOR ADDITIONAL PLUG-INS

  44. Below are the instructions for registering Troi File Plug-in for Macintosh.
  45. Please follow these instructions carefully.
  46.  
  47.  
  48. A - REGISTERING YOUR FIRST TROI PLUG-IN:
  49. ---------------------------------------
  50. If this is the first time you want to register a plug-in do the following:
  51.  
  52. 1- Save this e-mail message to disk as a plain text message.
  53.     Name the saved file "Troi Payment Certificate". Do not include the quotes.
  54. 2- Place this file in the same directory as your FileMaker Pro application
  55.     Initially this folder is called "FileMaker Pro 6 folder"
  56.     (or "FileMaker Pro 4.0 folder" or "FileMaker Pro 5.5 Folder" or similar
  57.     for older FileMaker Pro versions).
  58. 3- Restart FileMaker Pro.
  59.  
  60. The start-up screen of the plug-in should now display your personal 
  61. information and have no long delay.

  64. B - REGISTERING ADDITIONAL TROI PLUG-INS:
  65. -----------------------------------------
  66. If you bought other plug-ins from us in the past, you already have a 
  67. payment file.
  68.  
  69. To register this additional plug-in do the following:
  70.  
  71. 1- Save this e-mail message to disk as a text message.
  72. 2- Find the existing payment file called "Troi Payment Certificate" 
  73. in the "FileMaker Pro 4.0 Folder" or FileMaker Pro 5 Folder".
  74. 3- Open this file with a text editor, like SimpleText. On Mac OS X 
  75. you can use TextEdit.
  76. 4- Open the saved version of this email message.
  77. 5- Find (at the bottom of this email) the text between the 2 lines with the
  78.     text "----- Cut Here -----"
  79. 6- Copy all text between the 2 lines with the text "----- Cut Here 
  80. -----" to the clipboard.
  81. 7- Paste this text at the end of the payment file.
  82. 8- Save the payment file.  Make sure you save as plain text and do not add a
  83.     (hidden) .txt extension to the name.
  84. 9- Restart FileMaker Pro.

  86. The start-up screen of the plug-in should now display your personal

  90. C - IMPORTANT TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:
  91. ----------------------------------
  92. - The plug-in looks for the exact file name. Be sure to spell it 
  93. correctly (without the quotes).
  94. - Mac OS X might add an hidden .txt file extension to the name, 
  95. causing the registration to fail.
  96. - You can remove all text from the saved file except everything 
  97. between the 2 lines with the text "----- Cut Here -----". Do not 
  98. change or remove the part between these two lines.
  99. - If you read your e-mail on a different computer and you can't get a 
  100. saved file to the FileMaker folder do this: create a text file (for 
  101. example with SimpleText), and type in the exact text of the Troi 
  102. Payment Certificate data below. This is case sensitive.
